Therapeutic Support Worker Care Services

As a Therapeutic Support Worker – Care
Services, you will:
- Provide flexible, day‑to‑day practical and emotional support to children and young people in therapeutic foster care, guided by individual care plans.
- Support children and young people to access educational, social, recreational and health appointments, as well as family contact, in line with their care goals.
- Deliver positive role modelling, behaviour support and skill building to promote resilience, development and emotional wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with carers, caseworkers, families and external professionals to ensure consistent, strengths‑based and therapeutic support.
Position Details
- Full time, ongoing position
- 1 FTE working 38 hours per week
- $76,550 p/a + Super + Salary Packaging
What We’re Looking For
We
value individuals who bring dedication, empathy, and expertise to their roles.
To succeed in this position, you will have:
- Tertiary qualification (or undertaking) in Social Work, Youth Work, Community Services, Psychology, Welfare Studies or related field.
- Experience in working and building rapport with children and young people with complex needs/behaviours and ability to act as a positive role model/mentor.
- Demonstrated communication skills and ability to work as part of a diverse team, including staff and volunteer carers.
- Understanding of the impacts of trauma on children and young people and knowledge of trauma informed care/practice.
