Team Leader Care Services

As Team Leader Care Services, you will provide leadership, guidance and operational oversight across Home Based Care and Therapeutic Foster Care programs, ensuring services are child-focused, trauma-informed, culturally safe and outcomes-driven.

About the Role

As a Team Leader Care Services – Home Based Care & Therapeutic Foster Care, you will:

  • Lead and coordinate Home Based Care and Therapeutic Foster Care programs, ensuring high-quality, child-focused and culturally safe service delivery.
  • Provide leadership, supervision and practice guidance to caseworkers and senior practitioners, supporting effective case management and positive client outcomes.
  • Oversee program performance, compliance, quality improvement and contractual requirements, ensuring services meet funding and regulatory obligations.
  • Foster therapeutic, trauma-informed practice and collaborate with children, carers, families and stakeholders to promote safety, wellbeing and stability.

 

Position Details

  • Full time, fixed term position until 26 February 2027
  • 1 FTE working 76 hours per fortnight
  • $125,021 p/a + Super + Salary Packaging

 

What We’re Looking For

We value individuals who bring dedication, empathy, and expertise to their roles. To succeed in this position, you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology or a related discipline, with substantial experience coordinating and managing complex human services programs.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislative, regulatory and funding frameworks, with demonstrated responsibility for supporting compliance within service delivery and operational practice.
  • Proven experience providing leadership and supervision within complex service environments, including setting expectations, supporting accountability, and contributing to workforce capability and development.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate service operations, implement organisational strategies, and develop systems and processes that support service quality, consistency and sustainability.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with experience building effective internal and external relationships and preparing clear reports and advice to support operational decision‑making and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated capability to contribute to service governance, risk management and quality improvement in line with organisational and funding requirements.
