Network Security Operations Engineer

About the Role
As the Network Security Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the operational security and integrity of Meli’s network infrastructure. Reporting to the ICT Security and Infrastructure Lead, you’ll monitor and manage security systems, implement protective measures, and conduct vulnerability assessments. You’ll also contribute to the development of security policies, support IT staff, and stay ahead of emerging threats and technologies. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance, safeguarding data, and supporting the smooth delivery of IT services across the organisation.
Position Details
- Fixed term position until 31 December 2027
- 1 FTE working 38 hours per week
- $101,032 p/a + Super + Salary Packaging

What We’re Looking For
We value individuals who bring expertise, initiative, and a collaborative spirit to their work. To succeed in this role, you will have:
- A Diploma and/or significant equivalent experience in a complex organisation.
- Proven experience managing security tools such as next-gen antivirus, SASE, and advanced email security.
- Strong knowledge of advanced networking solutions including next-gen firewalls and IPsec.
- Experience in technical support and troubleshooting within an ICT environment.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations such as Essential 8, Victorian Protective Data Security Standards, and ITIL V4.
