Launch Pad Senior Housing Worker
Empowering Young People Through Safe and Supportive Housing
Meli is seeking a skilled and compassionate Senior Housing Worker to join our Launch Pad program.
Launch Pad provides safe, stable, and developmentally appropriate housing for young people transitioning from care. This role plays a key part in supporting the delivery of trauma-informed, strengths-based interventions that empower young people to build the skills, confidence, and community connections needed for long-term independence.
As the Senior Housing Worker, you will provide supervision and expert guidance to a passionate team. With a strong commitment to the Advantaged Thinking framework, you’ll ensure that young people receive tailored support and aspirational housing-focused planning. A key focus of this role is fostering positive community engagement - helping young people build strong local connections and access opportunities that enhance their sense of belonging, purpose, and future potential.
About the Role
As a Launch Pad Senior Housing Worker, you will:- Provide leadership, supervision, and capability building to housing support workers
- Coordinate day-to-day operations of the Launch Pad program, ensuring a consistent and youth-centred environment
- Support young people to develop independent living skills and sustain tenancies through coaching, group work, and tailored planning
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with local services, real estate providers, and community networks to enhance opportunities for young people
Position Details
- Full time, ongoing position
- 1 FTE working 38 hours per week
- $110,379 p/a + Super + Salary Packaging

What We're Looking For
We value individuals who bring dedication, empathy, and expertise to their roles. To succeed in this position, you will have:- Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Welfare/Youth Work or associated discipline, or relevant experience working in this space.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to support and lead a team with clear purpose and aligned goals, grounded in organisational values and strengthened by learning for the voices of the young people we work with.
- Understanding of the purpose and expectations of the Victorian Child Safe Standards and demonstrated commitment to contributing to a child safe organisation in both practice and culture.
- Current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
