About the Role

As a Fleet Officer, you will:

  • Coordinate the repair, servicing, maintenance, and cleaning schedule for all Meli fleet vehicles, ensuring they remain safe, compliant, and fully operational.
  • Manage and support staff using the fleet booking system, including training new employees and maintaining accurate fleet records.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, service providers, and the Fleet Management Organisation to optimise fleet utilisation, procurement, and operational efficiency.
  • Assist with fleet policy and procedure updates, compliance requirements, vehicle inspections, insurance claims, equipment fit‑outs, and child restraint monitoring to ensure staff have everything they need to carry out their roles safely.

  • Ongoing Part time position
  • 0.6 FTE working Wednesday, Thursday & Friday
  • $88,307 (pro-rata) p/a + Super + Salary Packaging

What We're Looking For

We value individuals who bring dedication, empathy, and expertise to their roles. To succeed in this position, you will have:
  • Demonstrated experience in fleet operations
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation to ensure compliance in fleet and road safety.
  • Demonstrated experience of dealing with external stakeholders and complex organisations to ensure priorities and deadlines are achieved.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including written and oral communication capabilities
  • Strong self-management skills and a solution focused mindset.
  • A demonstrated knowledge in a range of software packages including MS Office, databases, online fleet management systems, online contractor, and asset management systems.
