Whether you're guiding first steps or sparking big ideas, your work creates lasting impact.
Join a team that sees your passion, values your expertise, and supports your growth - because when educators thrive, children do too
Lead with purpose. Grow with Meli.
We’re looking for a Diploma-qualified Educator to join our team at Bell Park Kindergarten in a part-time ongoing role. If you’re passionate about play-based learning and want to be part of a community-focused organisation, this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.
Your Week at a Glance
Schedule
Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday — 8:30am to 2:45pm
This role offers consistency, with the added benefit of picking up extra shifts through our relief team, which spans 31 services across the region. It’s a great way to broaden your experience while staying connected to your home service.
Each day, you’ll contribute to a learning environment where children feel seen, heard, and inspired. You’ll help design and deliver play-based experiences that encourage exploration and support developmental growth. Working alongside a team of educators and teachers, you’ll build meaningful connections with children, families, and colleagues, while helping to maintain a space that’s safe, inclusive, and full of possibility.
What You Bring, We Celebrate
We recognise the expertise you bring to your role. This position is paid $28.01 p/h in line with the VECTEA 2020 agreement
A Team That Shares your Purpose
At Bell Park Kindergarten, you’ll join a team that’s genuinely supportive and deeply committed to creating enriching early learning experiences. You’ll collaborate with professionals who care about children and each other, contribute to outcomes that matter, and be backed by a workplace culture that values your voice and your growth.
More than a Workplace
Being part of Meli means your impact reaches beyond the preschool walls. You’re not just supporting children - you’re contributing to stronger families and more connected communities. Through our integrated network of community services, your work is part of something bigger, helping to create lasting change across the region.
Space to Grow, Support to Lead
At Meli, professional development is more than a checkbox—it’s a core part of how we support our educators. You’ll have access to mentoring from experienced pedagogical leaders, helping you refine your practice and expand your skills.
We also host two annual events: one that brings together the wider Meli community, and another dedicated to our early years team. These are great opportunities to connect, share ideas, and be inspired by peers and leaders across the sector.
With a network of 31 kindergartens and preschools, you’ll have the chance to explore different teaching styles and settings, building a career that’s rich in experience and growth.
What Sets This Role Apart
- Your break time is paid - because every moment of your contribution matters
- Three dedicated organisational days each year (student-free) to connect, reflect, and prepare with your team
- Your non-contact time is never lost - if you have to jump into ratio, we make sure you get that time back to plan, reflect, and prepare
- Set-up time is guaranteed so you can walk into each day feeling ready and organised for the day ahead
- Beautifully maintained spaces - our learning environments are professionally cared for so you can focus on the teaching and care of the children
