Caseworker Youth Homelessness Support

Are you passionate about supporting young people to overcome homelessness and build brighter futures? At Meli, we believe in the power of human effort to create lasting change. We’re looking for a dedicated Caseworker to join our Youth Homelessness Support team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people across the Barwon region.
About the Role
As a Caseworker in the Youth Homelessness Support program, you will:
- Provide intensive case management and assertive outreach to young people aged 16–25 who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions that address barriers to safe, sustainable housing, including mental health, AOD, and family violence.
- Support young people to build independent living skills and connect with education, employment, family, and community.
- Collaborate with a responsive care team and lead professional meetings to coordinate holistic support.
- Work within a passionate and integrated Youth Services team committed to creating safe and inclusive pathways for young people.

- $101,032 p/a + Super + Salary Packaging

What We're Looking For
We value professionals who bring empathy, resilience, and a commitment to social justice. To thrive in this role, you will have:
- A qualification in Youth Work, Social Work, or Community Welfare (Diploma or higher), and experience in client services.
- The ability to assess complex needs and rapidly determine appropriate support using ecological and trauma-informed approaches.
- A strong understanding of the Victorian Child Safe Standards and a commitment to child safety in both practice and culture.
- Proven ability to engage key stakeholders and build collaborative relationships that support positive outcomes for young people.
