Caseworker - Reignite

We’re seeking a dedicated Reignite Caseworker to join our Justice Programs team and work intensively with young people aged 10–15 who are engaging in high-risk behaviours. This is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the Geelong region by helping young people reconnect with education, vocation, and community.
About the Role
As a Reignite Caseworker, you will:
- Provide high-quality assertive outreach and case management to young people and their families.
- Address underlying risk factors contributing to youth offending through targeted interventions and Meli’s common practice approach.
- Deliver strengths-based, client-led support through mentoring, advocacy, and tailored prosocial interventions.
- Collaborate with schools, Child Protection, Youth Justice, and other community services to coordinate holistic support.
- Contribute to reflective practice, supervision, and program evaluation to continuously improve outcomes.
Position Details
- Fixed term position until 30 September 2026
- 1 FTE working 38 hours per week
- $101,032 p/a + Super + Salary Packaging

What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who brings compassion, resilience, and a commitment to restorative practice. To succeed in this role, you will have:
- A tertiary qualification (or equivalent) in Youth Work, Social Work, or Community Welfare (Diploma+).
- Proven experience engaging and case-managing young people at risk, including those exhibiting challenging behaviours.
- A trauma-informed approach and ability to conduct needs and risk assessments to inform planning and interventions.
- A strong understanding of the Victorian Child Safe Standards and a commitment to child safety in both practice and culture.
Desirable: Experience working with high-risk youth, particularly in the context of youth offending.
